The duties and responsibilities of the dynamic sports scientist are increasingly challenging. Therefore, the university enhanced the strategy of sports science education by changing the learning method in the lecture room to field learning thus preparing the graduates for industry with higher competitiveness and competence. The Translational Research Centre works on the above program as an enabler in facilitating collaboration between public universities and private sector with industry parties such as state sports events, national and state level associations and ISN itself in high-performance sports.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This is a continuous program whereby the participants will be awarded with credit hours for their learning and participation in this program and certified at the end of the program. In 2024, the SKS program has been kicked off under the banner of Knowledge to Application (K2A). K2A was executed specifically for female undergraduate\u2019s enhancement under Women in Sports Grant. Participants will be trained and perform real time sports science services during championships.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Among the sports science services provided was race analysis, injury prevention (AI Holomotion) and Counter movement jump analysis. About ten (10) official championship has been covered under the K2A program throughout 2024 in two (2) major sports athletics and swimming. About 200 local university students took part in this K2A program throughout 2024 coming from 8 different universities (UM, TARUMT, UITM, UPSI, UPNM, UMS UPM & KPTM).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This program is expected to be able to increase the recruitment potential of graduates from university into the sports industry. It can improve knowledge and skills of the students and at the same time produce a quality workforce in forming high performance sports athletes at various levels in the country this.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

ISN-IPGM Collaboration: Moving forward SKS 2025<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

On 15th<\/sup> November 2024 ISN had an official visit to Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (IPGM) to share the idea of our Skim Sukarelawan Kadet Saintis Sukan (SKS) program and requesting IPGM to be the official collaborator for the year 2025 to make this program successful.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The main focus of this program is on sports performance analysis, injury prevention, and performance improvement, specifically for coaches, officials, and athletes involved in training and tournaments at all levels from school to national level. This will also benefit the IPGM athletes and their very own competition as well.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

IPGM with the capacity of 27 campuses around Malaysia would be an ideal partner to bring this SKS program move forward. Their students around Malaysia could be the trained sports scientist to provide sports science services in various level competitions throughout Malaysia under the SKS program.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
